Hi, I'm Jen! I love writing clean, reusable code to build responsive
web and mobiles apps. Using strong problem-solving skills and a
creative imagination, I've worked on various solo and group projects
across multiple platforms. My experience is primarily focussed on
React, React Native, and TypeScript, but I love learning new
things.
Take a look at some of my projects below!
A single-page wedding website created with React and TypeScript. Users can view all details for the wedding and access links to the gift list, venue, and photos.
A front-end web app created with React and TypeScript. Users can view all necessary information about flight arrivals and departures at Edinburgh Airport.
A 2D fixed shooter game built in Unity and C#. A mash-up of Pacman and Space Invaders - players use Pacman to shoot incoming ghosts and collect fruit for points.
A 2D game made with Unity and C#, making use of object colliders and gravity. The player bounces the ball off a paddle to break the floating blocks.
A full-stack web app which helps users discover recipes based on the ingredients they have at home. A small API was built in Java and Spring, and the front-end was created in React.
A text-adventure browser game made in JavaScript, with in-game music and pixel art. The player makes decisions and uses dice roll mechanics to combat enemies.
A React web app that makes two API requests to get information on the original 151 Pokemon. Users select from a dropdown to find out more about their favourite.
A Javascript web app that makes an API request to display information on all Studio Ghibli films. Users select from a dropdown to find details about a film, or can view a filtered list based on release year.
Please feel free to send me an email or connect with me on LinkedIn! I am currently looking for a mobile development role in the 'Tech for Good' space and would love the opportunity to learn something new.
